Happy Monday loves! We hope you had a fantastic weekend. After what seems like an eternity of cooped up inside with a sick kid and watching the rain, everything finally disappeared on Thursday so we took the opportunity to chuck on our painting clothes (hence why she looks a wee bit raggedy), get outside with the paints and do Art day a day early!
There are two things I hate about winter- the rain and the bugs! The poor little miss was hit with a double ear infection, a tummy bug and the flu all in the space of a week. Fuck knows how that happened, but after a week on antibiotics and lots of yummy vege/fruit smoothies, we seem to be back on track. Halle-freaking-lujah!
Lets not muck around and jump straight into this week. We have a rather busy one with an end of week trip and Miss I starting preschool! The kiddo is OBSESSED with space and planets and my cake pans were temporarily out of commission so we thought we would put them to use and create our own… because everyone needs their own personalised 4 planet solar system right? Its easy as pie and not all that messy which suits me just fine at the moment.
What we used
– cake tin
– plastic spoons
Cut your paper to fit the cake pans, dunk yo marbles in paint, pop them on the paper, swirl and jiggle around then repeat however many times you see fit! On Thursday the 30th June 2016 at 335pm the following planets were discovered- Doc, Chilly, Koko and Halle *insert Doc Mc Stuffins and Chuggington theme tune here*. I guess if you’re the first to discover them, why not name them after your shows. I bet Nasa is kicking themselves for not finding these first!
Ok, thats it- no waffling on as like everyone else I have so much shit (not poop, like actual tasks, just incase you were slightly confused) to do! Today’s job is to start finding and digging out the winter gears for our trip. As per, make sure you come join us on Snapchat – @heylittlesweets to see our Friday art projects in action. If you’ve done or do this art project with your little ones, please send us pictures as we would love to see your masterpieces!
Have a good first half of your week! We love yo faces!
(Co-operation was certainly not our strongest point on Friday for photos!! And yes, Miss I is wearing an eye patch. She does so for an hour a day to help strengthen the muscles in her right eye.)
