3 Ingredient Yoghurt Slime

We have two weeks until Miss I’s eye surgery so for the next fortnight we are making the most of it by filling our days with lots of activities before she has a week or 2 off! With an abundance of plain yoghurt in the fridge, instead of eating it like normal people, we’ve turned it into Yoghurt Slime!

Yoghurt slime has a similar texture to our Doughy Gak or silly putty and I actually prefer this texture… I mean.. not that it’s actually for me… The whole time you are moving it around in your hands, it can be moulded, squished and stretched but the moment you stop, it turns to slime!

What you’ll need
– 2 Tbsp plain yoghurt (you can use flavoured yogurt, just make sure it has no bits or chunks in it. I find it a bit more stickier.)
– 3-5 Tbsp cornflour
– Food colouring
optional extra- glitter

What to do
– Pop your yoghurt and food colouring into a bowl and give it a mix. If you are also using glitter, nows the time to add it.
– Add in 3 Tbsp of cornflour and stir to bring everything together. If the mixture is too sticky, add a bit more cornflour at a time. If for whatever reason it is too dry, add a bit more yoghurt. Once the stickiness has gone, pick it up and knead it between your hands for a minute to ensure everything is well incorporated. It should have a slightly shiny look about it.
– Get playing!

It is best played with straight after making as it does start to firm up and lose some of its slime properties. The heat from yours or your little ones hands should return it back to normal however, if you find it is a tad too firm then either add a tiny bit more yoghurt or water.

ENJOY!
